Our Pastor

Pastor Roderick Pinckney was saved at the age of 8 and began teaching the infallible word of God at 15. He has a Master's Degree in Theology from Jacksonville Theological Seminary. He became pastor of Murray Hill Christ Community Church after his spiritual father Bishop James A. Hogans went home to be with the Lord. The church was founded by Bishop Hogans and its original name was Christ Community Methodist Church (Independent). Murray Hill Christ Community Church is a church like no other because Pastor Pinckney is a pastor like no other. 

Under the leadership of Pastor Pinckney, the membership has doubled and many ministries have been birthed. Pastor Pinckney has a heart for saving the lives of the youth. Through this passion God has given him the vision to raise up the youth in his Ministry to be Godly young men and women.

In the past, he has been known for spending quality time with the youth through Sunday morning time at the park and spearheading construction of the Murray Hill Studio inside the church to enhance their development and passion for music. Young people are encouraged to turn away from the negativity of secular rap music and focus on a positive image of rapping for Jesus Christ.

God's vision being worked through Pastor Pinckney is to raise a generation of people who not only represent Christ but re-present Christ to the world.

Though Pastor Pinckney is a devoted teacher, minister, and spiritual father; he still has time to be dedicated to his wife for over 30 years and their two children.
